Democratic rights and the fight against war: Stop the repression of pro-Gaza protests!

Democratic rights are under assault across the United States and internationally. In response to hundreds of protests and encampments on college campuses opposing the Gaza genocide, the Biden-Harris administration and every state government have carried out savage attacks on students, faculty and workers. Thousands have been arrested or brutalized, and a reign of terror imposed at what were once centers for free speech and protest.

On October 23, Joseph Kishore and Jerry White—the Socialist Equality Party's candidates in the US presidential election—and SEP National Committee members Eric London and Andy Thompson will advance a socialist strategy to stop the global attacks on democratic rights and put an end to imperialist war. Joseph Kishore is the Socialist Equality Party (US) presidential candidate in the 2024 US elections. He is the National Secretary of the SEP and plays a central role in the development of its political program and the building of the SEP.

Jerry White is the Socialist Equality Party (US) vice presidential candidate in the 2024 US elections. He is the Labor Editor of the World Socialist Web Site and has been a member of the Trotskyist movement since 1979.

Eric London is a leading member of the Socialist Equality Party who writes on US politics, immigration and history for the World Socialist Web Site. He has been a member of the SEP since 2011.

Andy Thompson is a member of the National Committee of the Socialist Equality Party (US) and the International Youth and Students for Social Equality. He has been a member of the SEP since 2017.
